On Monday May 10th, 2004, Eitan Newman was one of 11 IDF soldiers killed in battle in the Gaza Strip. Friends of the family in the Diaspora asked Eitan’s mother Sara what they could do to help. Whilst sitting shiva she softly said, "Go out and buy products made in Israel. Please help us. We are going through such hard times. Everybody can do that".
